Gary McCaffery

Gary is a former Great Britain International swimmer and has been a professional British Swimming Coach for the past 20 years. He has been the principle swimming coach of the High Peak Triathlon club for over 17 years. Gary Qualified as a level 5 Personal Trainer with the YMCA in 2003, and has Sports Conditioning and Sports Nutrition qualifications. Gary is also a fully qualified Sports Massage therapist offering sports and remedial massage, and is a qualified British cycling Coach, specialising in Road and TT events.

Diane Lee

Diane has been a professional triathlete since 2015 and competes internationally at pro level in Ironman 70.3 and Xterra events. Diane is Professional Swimming Coach has been instrumental in producing and nurturing numerous High Peak swimmers . Diane, holds a BA Honours Class 1 degree in Sports Studies and Sports Psychology and is a qualified British Triathlon Coach, Personal Trainer and Sports Massage therapist.

Stephen Greene

Stephen Greene took up Triathlon about 15 years ago and has competed in all types of races from sprint to Ironman. both at home and overseas and as part of the Great Britain Age Group Triathlon team. Stephen qualified as a Level 3 Personal Trainer and Triathlon Coach and created Peak Performance, working near Carsington Water in South Derbyshire. His philosophy is that everyone is different and that it’s important to understand what an athlete wants to achieve in order to help them achieve it. Amongst other things, Stephen runs our Tuesday morning swim sessions at Buxton.

Henry Foxhall

Henry is a Level 2 Triathlon Coach specialising in cycling and open water swimming. He has been competing in triathlons since 1997, including Ironman distance events. Henry runs the HPTC turbo training sessions throughout the winter and a Masters Swimming club during the summer months at the fantastic open air pool in Hatehrsage.

David Davidson

David has actively competed in sprint, standard and half ironman distance events during the past 10 years, locally, nationally and internationally. He has competed in several European and World Age Group Championships. David is a level 1 Triathlon coach and is due to complete his level 2 certificate in early 2018. David has coached both swim and turbo training sessions for HPTC and in addition provides relief lifeguard/trainer cover at Chatsworth gym .

Mat Ivings

Mat is a Level 1 Assistant coach and a cycling specialist, holding long distance records in the local area. He coaches turbo training sessions for HPTC has also run the Buxton Kids Aquathlon. In addition, Mat was Chair of the club until 2017 when he stepped down to concentrate on his cycling.
